Top 100 Mulheres Inspiradoras DA LUSOFONIA— 2026
Top 100 Inspiring Women of Africa — 2026 is a historic and pioneering initiative that recognizes and celebrates outstanding women across all 54 countries of Africa — women who are shaping societies, transforming communities, and inspiring future generations.
This year, a key driving force was ensuring full continental representation. All 54 African countries are included, reflecting a commitment to visibility, inclusion, and balance. Particular attention was given to women who have reached high-level positions in government — spaces traditionally dominated by men — recognizing true trailblazers with power and influence to mobilize a new generation of women across sectors.
Representation and inclusion were central to the selection. A percentage of the list highlights women doing exceptional work with less visibility, alongside those expanding their impact beyond national borders and building global influence. At the same time, some of Africa’s most prominent achievers, whose impact extends worldwide, were also considered for the global list released in March.
The list spans multiple sectors — including business, science, politics, arts, media, and social impact — reflecting both established leaders with lasting legacies and emerging voices shaping the future through innovation, courage, and vision.

Missão
Celebrar as mulheres da lusofonia é mais do que reconhecer talentos — é criar pontes entre nações que partilham a mesma língua, os mesmos sonhos e interesses comuns.

A iniciativa foi destacada por meios de comunicação nacionais e regionais, incluindo cobertura televisiva, plataformas digitais e redes sociais, evidenciando o seu papel na promoção da visibilidade, inclusão e reconhecimento da liderança feminina nos países da Lusofonia.
A cobertura enfatizou o caráter histórico da iniciativa como a primeira lista oficialmente publicada de mulheres inspiradoras em países de língua portuguesa, bem como o seu compromisso com a inclusão, diversidade e representatividade.
Em particular, a cobertura televisiva nacional em países como Cabo Verde e Moçambique contribuiu para ampliar o alcance e o impacto da iniciativa, reforçando a sua relevância como uma plataforma de celebração das contribuições das mulheres em diversos setores.

Minorities Matter
In this initiative, representation and inclusion are essential, which is why we intentionally highlighted the stories of women with albinism. These include Miss Albinism Africa Andreia Muhitu from Angola, the inspiring activist Laurinda Tembe, and the talented singer Argentina Luís. Their voices represent resilience, talent, and visibility, and might otherwise remain unheard without platforms that actively support and amplify them. Through this recognition, we reaffirm that inclusion is not optional—it is fundamental.
Resilience and Disability Inclusion
In this initiative, we also recognize the importance of resilience and the inclusion of women with disabilities. Inspiring figures such as Farida Gulamo, President of the Association of Persons with Disabilities, and Alcina Nhaume, a fashion designer who became a victim of a stray bullet during public demonstrations in Mozambique, represent strength, courage, and advocacy. Their journeys highlight not only personal overcoming but also a broader commitment to advancing the rights and visibility of persons with disabilities. These stories stand as powerful examples of inspiration and leadership for inclusive societies.
